Missing Walsall Siblings Sophie and Jack Fletcher Found Safe and Well
A brother and sister who packed a bag and went missing from their home in Darlaston in Walsall have been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
Sophie Fletcher, 12, and her brother Jack, 10, were found at Darlaston bus station by a family friend who alerted the police.
The two have now been reunited with their family. Before leaving, the children had packed a bag of clothes and taken some money.
There had been suggestions that they may have been trying to get to the coastal village of Borth in Mid Wales, where they had previously been on holiday.
Police thanked the public for their help in finding them.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police officers began an extensive search of the local area in a bid to find the two at the earliest possible opportunity.
"Walsall police would like to thank all the public and media for their help in this matter.
"The force used social media to alert local people. On Twitter the news was retweeted thousands of times and was even tweeted by local celebrity and former international footballer Stan Collymore."
