Honda rider Marc Marquez took pole for the 2014 Indianapolis MotoGP Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Qualifying Review

Marquez was the fastest during the qualifying at the new-look Indianapolis circuit. The defending champions set the fastest time of 1:31.619s to take his eighth pole of the season to make it a perfect 10 on Sunday.

The Spaniard has won all the nine races this season and is looking to extend his winning streak to make it 10 on 10 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso was 0.225s behind the championship leader, while two-time champions and Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo was third.

Marquez, along with Dovizioso and Lorenzo will lock horns for the front row in the Indianapolis MotoGP Grand Prix. Forward rider Aleix Espargaro was fourth, while Yamaha's Valentino Rossi is behind him in the fifth spot.

Marquez's Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa managed to finish in the top 10 as he will start Sunday's race from the eighth spot after clocking a time of 1:32.331s.
