NCIS season 13 finale
Tony Dinozzo with his father in NCIS season 13 CBS

NCIS season 14 has gone on a brief hiatus and will return with the next episode on 15 November at 8pm EST on the CBS Network. Episode 8 is titled Home Of The Brave, where actor Robert Wagner will return as Tony DiNozzo Sr.

The official synopsis for the chapter reads as follows:

Torres boldly breaks protocol when he learns a witness in an NCIS case is wanted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Also, Abby, Bishop and McGee woo landlord Tony DiNozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner) in the hope of subletting Tony's apartment.

The chapter will feature references to Michael Weatherly's character, Tony, as Abby, Bishop and McGee will try to impress DiNozzo's father to rent out the former NCIS Agent's apartment.

Meanwhile, CBS named executive producers George Schenck and Frank Cardeaas as co-showrunners for NCIS season 14, according to Variety. The two will take for Gary Glasberg, who died in his sleep on 28 September in Los Angeles.

Schenck and Cardea said, "The NCIS family suffered a tragic loss with the sudden passing of our showrunner, Gary Glasberg. It's with heavy hearts that we assume his duties. We are fortunate to be surrounded by an incredibly talented and dedicated cast and crew, which will make the transition that much easier. Thank you to the 'NCIS' fans for the outpouring of love we have all received."

Previously, NCIS cast and crew paid tributes to the late showrunner in a statement and said, "Gary was our rock, our cheerleader, our team captain. He inspired us with his leadership, his creative instincts and keen insight. NCIS will not be the same without him, and each of us will miss his smiling face and unwavering humor, which lifted us every day."
