Warner Bros has shared a new photo of one of the most iconic female superhero from DC comics, Wonder Woman, who will debut in a solo movie on 2 June 2017. The first trailer of the film, released at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, has caught the attention of fans, who have appreciated the Gal Gadot's portrayal of Diana Prince.

The photo shows Wonder Woman taking cover in what seems to be a battle during the First World War. She is dressed in her signature armour, carrying her sword and magical lasso.

In the first trailer of Wonder Woman released at SDCC, Gadot is seen on the battlefields and she comes across an unconscious Steve Trevor – her love interest, an American fighter pilot – played by Chris Pine, who crash lands at an island where the Amazonian princes lives.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. The cast of the movie includes Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright plays General Antiope, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Madeleine Vall as the Amazonian warrior Egeria and Connie Nielsen's Queen Hippolyta among others.
