Taiwanese mobile maker HTC announced the HTC One X at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, alongside two other cheaper devices - the HTC One S and the One V. The HTC One X is believed to be the first quad-core Android smartphone.

On the other hand, the Best Smartphone Award winner at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) - the Nokia Lumia 900 is the first of the company's Windows OS-based range to feature high-speed LTE connectivity. The phone, the company claims, is the first specifically designed for the US.

Display: The HTC One X features a 4.7-inch HD 720p touch-screen with a resolution of 1280x720pixels. The Nokia Lumia 900 features a 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack glass capacitive touch-screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The resolution of the display is 800x480pixels.

Size: The dimension of One X is 134.36x69.9x8.9mm and weighs 130g with the battery. The dimension of Nokia Lumia 900 is 5.03x2.7x0.45inch and weighs 5.6 ounces.

Operating system: The HTC One X will run with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with HTC Sense 4 while the Lumia 900 runs on the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS.

Processor: The HTC One X is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor. The Nokia Lumia 900 is powered by a single-core 1.4GHz processor.

Camera: The HTC One X features an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, smart LED flash and BSI sensor. The camera has a dedicated imaging chip, F2.0 aperture and 28mm lens. There is a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera.

The Nokia Lumia 900 features an 8 megapixel, touch focus, dual LED flash camera with Carl Zeiss Optics. The resolution of the camera's image is 3264x2448 pixels and it has a F2.2 aperture. The secondary camera is a 1megapixel unit with image resolution of 1280x720 pixels.

Connectivity: The HTC One X offers a 3.5mm stereo audio jack, NFC3, Bluetooth version 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. It also supports DLNA, micro-USB version 2.0.

The Nokia Lumia 900 supports WEP, WPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and also has a micro USB port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Stereo Audio, 3.5mm AHJ connector and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

Storage: The HTC One X has internal memory storage of 32GB and 1 GB RAM. The Nokia has 16GB onboard memory and SkyDrive Cloud storage options. It has 512MB of RAM.

Battery: The HTC One X has a 1800mAh battery. The Nokia Lumia 900 has a BP-6EW battery with capacity of 1830mAh.
