World number six Kei Nishikori too comes into this tie after an exhausting quarter-final clash against number 13 seed Dominic Thiem. The Japanese international hung on in tense moments, saving four out of five break points to win 6-3, 7-5 in a game that took one hour and 39 minutes.

Their most recent encounter at the semi-final of the Madrid Open saw Nishikori lose to Djokovic but if there is anyone who can beat the Serb right now, it has to be the 26-year-old.
