4.85mm thin Oppo R5 reaches UK shores: Is smartphone worth ordering?
The Oppo R5 is only 4.85mm-thick Oppo

Oppo R5, which was until recently considered to be the thinnest smartphone in the world, with an outer thickness of just 4.85mm, has now reached UK shores where potential buyers can pre-order it.

Apart from the size, yet another interesting aspect about Oppo R5 is that its camera protrudes out of its ultra-thin body.

Buyers of the smartphone get top-notch tech-specs out of the handset despite its ultra-lean outer frame. Specs include a 5.5in super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU and a 13MP camera at the rear.

Oppo R5 also features a 5MP front camera which looks capable of offering the selfie generation lots to cheer about.

Overall, Oppo R5 weighs in at just 155g, as opposed to the 129g Apple iPhone 6.

However, Oppo R5 incorporates an unusual 2,000 mAh battery, as opposed to at least a 2,300 mAh battery that most smartphones come with these days, with many even going past the 3,000 mAh barrier.

Apart from the above tech-specs, Oppo RS also supports 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity. The smartphone also does not feature a headphone jack, thereby forcing users to make use of a microUSB adapter to plug in headphones.
