The hit drama-comedy follows the lives of a group of women serving jail sentences in the Litchfield Federal Correctional Institute.

A trailer for the upcoming season promises a lot of drama ahead for its inmates.

Here are a few things to expect in OITNB season 3

A Martha inspired character

Series creator Jenji Kohan told Time at Time 100 Gala that the new season of OITNB will feature a Martha Stewart-inspired character. She wouldn't say who would be playing the character, but only that she'll be Southern on the show.

Jason Biggs isn't coming back

Netflix confirmed in February that Jason Biggs will not be seen in season 3. But that doesn't mean we will never see Larry again, as Biggs seemed optimistic he could return in an interview with the New York Daily News.

"They're not focusing on Larry at the moment. Larry will not be in season three. But there's always a possibility he can come back," Biggs said.

Laverne Cox, who plays Sophia Burset in the show, also threw us another bone, as she teasingly said, "It's gonna be intense. Jenji was really interested in faith and what we believe in as a theme for this third season, so there's a lot of that permeates...Sophia may or may not get in some major conflict with another prisoner."

Alex and Piper's relationship

Alex is coming back to Litchfield, and Alex and Piper's relationship will be complicated as ever. Also, a new and very attractive inmate Stella Carlin, will complicate things for the couple, and she will easily get the attention of both Piper and Alex.

After two seasons of being enemies, lovers, and then enemies again, this torrid love affair might finally be reaching a close as new inmate Stella Carlin enters the picture.

Australian Model Ruby Rose has reportedly been roped in to play the love interest of the main characters Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon).
