Jamie leads the Jacobite army in the battle of Prestonpans in the upcoming chapter of Outlander season 2. Episode 10 is titled Prestonpans, which will air this Saturday, 11 June at 9pm Et/PT on Starz Network.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

Trusting in Claire's knowledge of "history," Jamie leads the Jacobite army into a critical battle with British opposition near the town of Preston. Meanwhile, Claire attends to the dead and dying, a reminder of the truest costs of war."

Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie in the show, took to Twitter to share Vanity Fair's article about Jamie preparing for battle and wrote, "Red Jamie" hinting that the episode will be bloody.

The title of episode 10, Prestonpans, is a reference to the first clash between the Scott and British armies in the Jacobite rising of 1745. Jamie's army teamed up with Prince Charles' will battle the British army, and judging by the books Jamie's highlanders army will win the battle.

Outlander producer Matt Roberts spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about episode 10. He said, "Next episode is titled "Prestonpans." The episode encompasses the Battle of Prestonpans. We're going to take Jamie and his troops and integrate them within the bigger Highland army. Prince Charlie returns and the first half is all these people trying to jockey for a position with him. Jamie is the one person who doesn't have to since he already has the Prince's ear."

"And through knowledge of Claire, he knows they're going to win this battle, so he's a little more relaxed than you would normally see a person going into a battle. So what we need to show in "Prestonpans" is how they win this battle. We stay true to the actual battle; it was about eight minutes long total and we pretty much almost show it in real time," Roberts shared.
