Prisoners put the final touches on a papal chair that they built for Pope Francis, who plans to visit a prison in Philadelphia during his upcoming US tour. Warden Karen Bryant said staff and prisoners were honoured to host the Pope at the Philadelphia Prison System. "We have about a month to get everything together, but [we're] really excited," Bryant explained.

The chair is made from American walnut for the Pope to sit on when he visits Formhold Correctional Facilities. It took hours and two teams of inmates, builders and finishers, to craft the chair, which has the papal seal on its sides.

"I never thought I would be building the Pope's chair," said inmate Evan Davis, while another prisoner said: "Actually knowing that he will be sitting in this chair, on something that I have helped make, you know, it's kind of exciting."
