Prince Harry Allegedly Pleads With Meghan Markle 'Please Don't Do This to Me' Over New Memoir
Harry urges Meghan against explosive memoir deal as Sussex finances spiral and publishing deals mount

Meghan Markle stands at a crossroads between loyalty and financial survival. Lucrative book deals worth millions of pounds are on the table for the duchess to pen her own explosive memoir, but the proposal has triggered a significant rift with Prince Harry, who fears another tell-all would obliterate his carefully managed efforts to reconcile with the royal family.
The tension reveals a deeper struggle facing the Sussexes: their various commercial ventures are failing to generate the income streams they need. While publishers are reportedly lining up with substantial offers, they want one thing – the dirt.
'Meghan has been doing her best to find ways to generate income, but frankly nothing is paying off the way she'd hoped. Publishers, though, are already lined up with blank cheques,' sources said. 'The problem is they are only going to give her the big bucks if she is willing to dish the dirt on her in-laws. Harry is completely against it and says another tell-all would ruin any chance of peace with his family for good.'
The Sussexes' Growing Financial Pressures
Life outside the royal fold has become considerably more precarious for Harry and Meghan. The past eighteen months have seen a series of professional setbacks that paint a troubling picture. The couple parted ways with their communications officer, Meredith Maines – the 11th to leave their employ in just five years – and Meghan's lifestyle show With Love, Meghan failed to secure renewal for a third series on Netflix. A source explained that while 'conversations about holiday specials' have occurred, 'there's nothing in the works yet.'
Their As Ever brand, meanwhile, faced public humiliation after a technical glitch appeared to reveal eye-watering stock levels: approximately 220,000 jars of jam, 90,000 candles and 80,000 tins of flower sprinkles. Critics seized on the figures as evidence of sluggish sales, though Sussex insiders insisted it reflected expansion plans rather than warehouse overflow.

The financial reality is unforgiving. 'As much as they're trying to put a happy face on things, it's an open secret that Harry and Meghan are dealing with some very serious issues,' an insider stated.
'They should be tightening their belts at this point, but instead they're burning through cash faster than ever. The Sussexes still have insane outgoings every month. They need to be bringing in serious money to cover it all. Unfortunately, the brand is not delivering yet, so they can't rely on it to keep them afloat.'
The Peace Plan vs. the Pay Day
Harry's position is increasingly isolated. Since moving to Montecito, California with their son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4, in 2020, the couple released their bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview and his incendiary 2023 memoir Spare, in which he alleged a physical altercation with William and detailed a broken dog bowl and ripped necklace. Now, at 41, Harry has signalled his desire to broker peace. He reconciled with King Charles last September, though a recent trip to the UK saw no family reunion.
Meghan, 44, sees the memoir offer differently. 'These massive pay cheques being dangled are getting increasingly tempting. Meghan hasn't made any deal yet, but people are wooing her and there's definitely a worry that the offers won't always be on the table,' sources explained.
'She's being advised to take the big money while she can. Harry's the sticking point. If it were up to her, she'd do this tomorrow, so now it's a matter of getting him to come around to the idea.'
The timing could scarcely be worse. Meghan is reportedly being considered for a UK visit in July for an Invictus Games ceremony. Publishing a revenge memoir would detonate any remaining goodwill before that trip – and any hope of a genuine royal reconciliation altogether.
