Meghan Markle's New Cotswolds Neighbour Jokes About Their Inevitable Daylesford Farm Shop Encounter

Meghan Markle's potential new Cotswolds neighbour has joked about what she would say during an almost inevitable encounter with the Duchess at one of the area's best-known farm shops.

Content creator Josie Irons addressed the possibility of bumping into Meghan at Daylesford in a TikTok video after reports that the Duchess and Prince Harry had returned to Britain with their children for an extended stay.

Irons said she would welcome Meghan to the Cotswolds before inviting her to a reformer Pilates class, adding that she believes the Sussexes will 'absolutely love' their new surroundings.

Meghan's Neighbour Jokes About Daylesford Encounter

Irons shared the hypothetical encounter after one of her followers asked what she would do if she passed Meghan while shopping at Daylesford, the well-known Cotswolds farm shop and lifestyle destination.

'Honestly I would just say to them, 'Welcome to the Cotswolds. Hey, Meghan, do you want to come and do a reformer Pilates class with me?' Irons said in her TikTok video.

She quickly acknowledged she was joking before adding, 'Although I do think we would be very good friends. That's my toxic trait, thinking that I would just be friends with Meghan Markle.'

Daylesford has become a frequent feature in speculation about Meghan's potential Cotswolds lifestyle because of the Duchess's reported interest in farm shops, food and gardening.

Why Irons Thinks Meghan Will Love the Cotswolds

Irons said she was 'not surprised in the slightest' when she heard reports that Harry and Meghan were establishing a base in the Cotswolds.

'I'm really, really happy for them. I genuinely am really thrilled for them,' she said. 'If I was in their shoes, I would be doing the exact same thing.'

Irons, who moved to the region with her husband six years ago, said the area's size, countryside and relative privacy make it particularly attractive. 'It's no secret that tons of celebrities live here and by and large they get to live a pretty normal life,' she explained.

According to Irons, residents generally leave famous people alone when they encounter them in local pubs and restaurants, allowing them to enjoy family time without being bothered.

Farm Shops and Highgrove Connection

Irons also identified several reasons why the Cotswolds could suit both Meghan and Harry.

'It's no secret Meghan, I think she loves her gardening, she loves her farm shops,' she said.

For Harry, Irons highlighted the family's proximity to King Charles III, whose private residence Highgrove House is nearby. She suggested being closer to Harry's father could have influenced the couple's reported choice, while also praising local schools and the area's community for Archie and Lilibet.

Harry and Meghan reportedly arrived in Britain in late August with Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, as they establish a greater UK presence after six years primarily based in California.

Their children are reportedly beginning British schooling in September, while the family is expected to retain its Montecito home.

The Cotswolds has consistently been reported as the Sussexes' new UK base. The couple previously rented a farmhouse in the region around the time of their 2018 wedding and are now reportedly considering a larger property.
