Princess Charlene of Monaco graced an annual Christmas event at the Monaco Palace but royal watchers definitely missed the sight of her twins. The princess was accompanied only by her husband Prince Albert II at the event.

As the 37-year-old princess attended the royal household's traditional Christmas gifts distribution and Christmas tree ceremony for children, onlookers must have craved for a glimpse of the twin heirs, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques.

Going by the tradition of the Monaco royals' holiday season, children were treated to gifts by the princess near a decorated Christmas tree in the palace courtyard. The former Olympian was all smiles as she endeared herself to the little hearts. She looked graceful in her tights and high leather boots which she wore under her all-time favourite monochromatic beige coat.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II last appeared with their twins in public on the babies' first birthday on 10 December. However, the princely couple seldom hesitate to openly go out in the public with their babies.

The royal couple and their children walked to defend the climate in a march organised by the prince in Monaco on the eve of the UN climate change conference (COP21) held in Paris. The twins also made a balcony appearance on the national day celebrations last month. In August, the then seven months old twins accompanied their parents to the annual picnic event, Pique Nique Monegasque 2015.

Princess Gabriella (elder) and Prince Jacques were born two minutes apart in December 2014. Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II introduced their newborns a day before Christmas last year.

As Prince William and Kate Middleton have released their first family Christmas photo featuring two-year-old Prince George and seven-month-old Princess Charlotte, royal watchers would be keen to see the latest Christmas photos of the Monaco royal twins as well.
