Quantico
ABC series Quantico has been confirmed for a third season ABC

Priyanka Chopra recently packed her bags and said farewell to New York after wrapping filming for the finale of Quantico season 2. Now, it looks like the Indian Bollywood A-lister will need to pull out those suitcases once again following the announcement that ABC has decided to renew the terrorism drama for a third season.

According to Deadline, the announcement that comes ahead of the network's upfront presentation on 16 May, offered relief for fans concerned about the future of the show. However, unlike season 1 and 2, which came with 22 and 21 episodes respectively, season 3 has been slashed down by 9 episodes to an abbreviated 13-episode format.

Another big change for the Monday night drama comes in the form of its executive producer Josh Safran stepping down. He will continue to work as a consultant but ABC Studios is yet to find a replacement showrunner.

While ABC works on the future of her show, Chopra is taking a well-deserved break in between promoting her latest Hollywood film Baywatch. On 15 May, she was spotted soaking up the sun in Miami, with friends.

"Last few hours of chill... poolside bummery," she wrote alongside a close-up Instagram photo that showed her with a friend.

The 34-year-old former Miss World needs to take advantage of all the free time she can get, considering she will be kept busy once season 3 of Quantico begins filming. Meanwhile, Chopra is also reportedly in talks to join Oscar-winning Octavia Spencer, Claire Danes and Jim Parsons in an upcoming drama A Kid Like Jake. The actress is expected to play the role of Amal, a newly single mother attempting to balance family and her dating life.
