The second semi-final of the 2016 Fifa Club World Cup will see Real Madrid take on Club America at the International Stadium Yokohama on 15 December. The Spanish capital club won the tournament in 2014 and will be targeting another success in Japan.

Zinedine Zidane's side sealed a berth in the Club World Cup after winning the Champions League in the 2015/16 season, They achieved this feat by defeating neighbours Atletico Madrid in the final, with Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winner.

Club America registered a place in the tournament after winning the Concacaf Champions League earlier in April. They defeated South Korean outfit Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors 2-1 in the quarter-final and will be targeting another win on Thursday.

The winners of Europe's elite club competition and the Copa Libertadores will directly make their way into the semi-final. From South America, it was Atletico Nacional who made it to the last four.

However, Nacional failed to beat Kashima Antlers as a 3-0 win for the host nation's club has seen them create history on 14 December. They became the first Asian club to make it to the final of the Fifa Club World Cup.

Real will be hoping to beat Club America and make it to their second final in three years. The winning side of the second semi-final will take on Kashima Antlers in the final on 18 December and the team that fails to progress will face the Colombian outfit for the third-place finish.
