Fourth seed, Federer ousted Slovakia's Lukas Lacko in the first round clash on Sunday in straight sets needing just 84 minutes. The 17-time Grand Slam winner won, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2, against the 26-year-old Slovakian on Sunday to progress into the second round for the 11<sup>th straight time in this tournament.

The 32-year-old now clashes against Schwartzman for the first time in his career and the Swiss maestro will be keen on not making it a tie to remember for the wrong reasons. The 21-year-old Argentinean triumphed over Portugal's Gastao Elias, 6-4, 6-2, 7-5, following a hard fought battle that lasted 144 minutes.

The winner of this second round clash will take on the winner between Sam Querrey and Dmitry Tursunov in the next round.
