Samsung prepping new 5.5in high-ender to offset Galaxy S5 failure: Smartphone rumoured to launch in 2015
Samsung is rumoured to be developing a new 5.5in high-ender to offset Galaxy S5 failure CC

Samsung, which is expected to launch the high-end Galaxy S6 smartphone next year, is now said to be working on yet another high-ender that could launch even before the Galaxy S6.

According to an official Samsung listing, a new smartphone bearing model number SM-G430 is confirmed, and this device is said to incorporate a 5.5in display when launched.

Samsung's SM-G430's existence is further confirmed by Indian import-export web portal Zauba which indicates the value of the smartphone as INR 32,244 (£326).

The technical aspects of Samsung's new high-ender have been outed by Samsung's official website.

Also, a report published in TechTastic (a Netherlands-based web portal) throws more light on the key tech-specs of the smartphone.

According to the available information at the moment, Samsung's SM-G430 will incorporate the following key hardware aspects:

  • 5.5in display having a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels
  • Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating platform; out of the box
  • 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor

Other technical details are yet to surface, but Samsung's SM-G430 will in all probability be a high-end smartphone considering the fact that Samsung's Galaxy S5 failed to live up to its pre-launch hype.

Also, with the above device all but confirmed, a 2015 launch for Samsung's SM-G430 cannot be ruled out.
