The British Telecommunication company, Vodafone, has created a registration page for customers for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone which will be announced by Samsung on 3 May in London, according to The Christian Post. The message on the Vodafone site reads: "Your next Galaxy Coming to Vodafone".
Interested customers can visit Vodafone's UK site in order to register and receive updates on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy smartphone which is otherwise known as Galaxy S3. The site states: "Fill out your details. And we will fill you in on everything about the new Galaxy."
The US version is expected to be available for carriers such as Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile when the smartphone is released in the market. The predecessor of Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S2, was launched on the aforementioned carriers in the US. The company has stated that the Galaxy S3 announcement and release will take place close together.
"It is highly anticipated the current page on the Vodafone website will change over to a Samsung Galaxy S3 holding page in the near future," an unnamed source close to Samsung has been quoted as saying to Techradar. There is not much information on specifications of the smartphone on the Vodafone site at present.
Samsung recently launched a countdown website along with a message that reads: "Coming Soon. You can take the next step in," which was followed by a teaser video released by the company. The video hints at the launch of Galaxy S3 and features shots of galaxies with text on it which promises a life-changing device, according to PCMagazine. "Truly smart technology becomes a natural part of life. Where a galaxy fits perfectly into your hand. Your view of the world grows ever wider. As you gain power to explore it freely and swiftly," the text in the video reads.
As far as the features of the smartphone are concerned, a recent video leaked via Vietnamese site, Tinhte, reveals the specifications of the Galaxy S3. It shows that the Galaxy S3 will feature a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 720x1148pixels, according to an IBTimes report.
The smartphone will run on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The smartphone further sports an eight megapixels camera and will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. It will have 16GB internal memory storage capacity along with a microSD card slot. The Galaxy S3 will offer NFC and pack a battery of 2050mAh.
