Sony has unveiled the smaller version of its camera smartphone, the Xperia Z1 Compact featuring OmniBalance design. This is a dust-resistant and waterproof handset with IP code ratings IP55 and IP58 respectively.

Incorporating all the features of Xperia Z1, the Xperia Z1 Compact with 4.3in TRILUMINOS HD display is now available for pre-order in the UK.

Country's one of the high-end retailers, Phones 4u has confirmed the pre-order for the newest Xperia Z1 Compact, which is on contract with various network operators such as Vodafone, EE, T-Mobile and Orange.

Sony Wireless Speaker comes free of cost in the deals offered by retailers. Besides, it is available in all four colour options: white, black, lime and pink.

As for the tariff plans, Vodafone is offering the Sony's new smartphone with no initial payment and just £29 a-month for a contract period over 24 months. The offer also includes 500MB data and 1GB over Wi-Fi, three months internet free with Vodafone Data Test Drive. Also, consumers will get 600 minutes and unlimited texts.

Those who wish to buy the Xperia Z1 Compact from EE will have to pay £34.99 per month with no upfront. Along with this unlimited minutes and texts, and 2GB data with 4G tariff is free.

The Xperia Z1 Compact is on contract with Orange at £37.99 per-month with unlimited minutes and texts and 1GB data.

Phones 4u has mentioned that those who are placing pre-orders now will get their brand new devices by 31 January.

The SIM-free and unlocked Xperia Z1 Compact with 16GB storage option costs £430 including VAT at Clove UK. The first stock of the device is expected in mid February.

There is a marginal difference between the price offered by Clove and Unlocked Mobiles, which is charging £438.98 for the Xperia Z1 Compact. The pre-order at Unlocked Mobiles is expected on 7 February.
