Overview

The Test series was won by England comfortably and they were on course to win the One Day International (ODI) series as well after going up 2-0 just after the first two matches. However, South Africa bounced back as they came back to win the next three matches to seal the ODI series 3-2.

The Three Lions team led by Eoin Morgan were left frustrated as they gave away the ODI series to the Proteas. Morgan will once again lead the English side into the T20 fixtures as form, for both England and South Africa, will be key going into the 2016 ICC Twenty20 World Cup in India.

AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers and David Miller will be the key players for the hosts with the bat. These players can be given a perfect platform to post a massive total if the top order batsmen Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla can provide them with a good start.

England will be looking to avoid a defeat in the T20 series, especially going into the upcoming World Cup in India starting in March.
