Space Engineers Founder Talks About Game's Journey To Xbox One and PS4

First starting life as an early access title for PC, Space Engineers from Keen Software House evolved into something more and is heading to the Xbox One in the coming months.

Does this title, which is doing quite well on PC, have the power to shake things up on Xbox One game ecosystem? We find out in an interview that GamingBolt had with Keen Software house founder Marek Ros.

When asked what the game was about, he said, "Space Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction and maintenance of space works. Players build space ships and space stations of various sizes and utilization (civil and military), pilot ships and perform asteroid mining.

"In more simple worlds, players can spend hundreds of hours, using their limitless creativity, experimenting with the game's mechanics, building spaceships, constructing huge space stations or play online together with their friends either cooperating or competing with each other."

And when asked about their 12-month-old exclusivity with the Xbox One, Rosa said that "Our focus at the moment is only on the development of the Windows/PC and the XBOX ONE version. Despite that, there are a big number of players who are already requesting us for this. We can't comment or promise anything now, but it is something that we might consider for the future, not only for the PS4 console, but also for other platforms as well."

Rosa also mentioned that it was too early to tell if the game will run on the Xbox One.
