Two 14-year-olds will appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Monday (18 April) charged with the double murder of Elizabeth and Katie Edwards at their home in Spalding. Liz Edwards, 49, and her daughter Katie, 13, were found dead at 12.15pm on Friday and are thought to have died from stab wounds.

Flowers have been laid outside the home where primary school teacher Liz lived with daughters Katie and Kim. A third daughter lives elsewhere.

Graham Green, Liz's partner, posted a photograph of the two together on Facebook, saying: "My babe has gone but you will always in my heart forever and ever and ever."

Detective chief inspector Martin Holvey, who is leading the enquiry, said: "Post mortem examinations will be carried out in due course but again I still need to speak to anyone with any information that might be relevant from Dawson Avenue from around noon on Wednesday (13 April) to noon on Friday.

"If you saw or heard anything that you thought was suspicious or unusual I'd encourage you to get in touch as soon as possible. Please call the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 163 of 15/04/2016 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

"Our officers will continue to carry out enquiries in the locality and local uniformed officers will also be in the area. If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to talk to them."
