Jennifer Aniston has signed on to a voice act in Warner Bros animated film Storks. The actress will be joining a cast packed with funny men Ty Burrell, Andy Samberg, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Kelsey Grammer.

Entertainment Weekly revealed that Aniston will voice Mrs Gardner alongside Burrell who takes on the role of her husband Mr Gardner. The story is set in a world where the titular birds have stopped delivering babies and are now delivering packages for an Amazon-like internet retailer called Cornerstore.

The plot will focus on one workaholic stork that ends up teaming up with a spirited teenage girl Tulip, to deliver a baby to its rightful home.

Calling the film "a love letter to parenthood," Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) will be co-directing the project with veteran animator Doug Sweetland.

"It's about the kind of blessing that kids are, which I didn't really understand when we had our first child because it was so easy," Stoller, who has two daughters said. "And then the second one was so hard to have that, like, literally every single thing she does is amazing to me. So that's kind of [the inspiration]. I mean, there aren't scenes in fertility clinics, but the germ of the idea came from that."

Canadian voice actor Katie Crown will join the cast as Tulip, Samberg plays Junior, Key and Peele are The Wolves, and Grammer plays big boss, Stork Mountain CEO, Hunter.

The first official trailer of the film will release on 16 June and the film will hit cinemas on 23 September.
