Louise Redknapp could waltz her way back into the limelight after it was been reported that she may be the latest star to join Strictly Come Dancing's line-up.
The former singer of Eternal learned a few dance moves as part of the girl group – which she left in 1995 to pursue a solo career – but is willing to hit the floor again after allegedly signing up to Strictly 2016.
Redknapp, 41, is said to be the latest familiar face to join this year's star-studded series, after years of being asked to take part on the hit BBC show.
A source told The Sun: "Louise has been top of the Strictly hit list for years. She's a huge star and they feel she will bring class and glamour. They're absolutely thrilled they've finally got her.
"She grew up singing and dancing, which will stand her in good stead when the rehearsals and training kick in after the summer," they added.
The Naked hitmaker will join a whole host of famous celebrities on the show including the likes of Anastacia, ITV star Judge Rinder and Irish television presenter Laura Whitmore.
One person who isn't too keen on the dancing show is Redknapp's former England footballer husband Jamie, however. Discussing the show last year, he said: "I would rather eat my own hand. I'm not joking. It's a good show, I respect anyone who does it, but I couldn't do it. I would be so self-conscious, I would hate every second of it.
"The thought of wearing those tight outfits and trying to dance, it's honestly horrendous. Every year my name is rumoured but, I'm telling you now, I will never ever get on that dancefloor," he added.
Hopefully the couple – who have been married since 1998 and have two children together – will not fall under the 'Strictly curse', which has seen many marriages and relationships break up. These include Rachel Riley, Georgia May Foote and Ben Cohen, who all pursued romances with their onscreen dancing partners. It is not yet known which professional dancer Redknapp will be paired up with.
