Suicide Squad leaked on-set image twitter/sylvioso

Over the last two or three weeks, several videos and images from the sets of director David Ayer's Suicide Squad have leaked online.

These weren't just random clicks showing some random set piece here and a blurred actor there. Full-fledged HD quality (some) photos and footage revealing Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, car chases with the new Batmobile and Will Smith's Deadshot in action have made their way online.

Fearing that more leaked material will soon follow, many fans have (somewhat prematurely) started wondering whether the whole movie was going to be spoiled for them. Thankfully, the movie's director David Ayer has come out on Twitter to allay their fears. Here's what the director tweeted on 31 May:

It appears Ayer is also signalling the end of filming on the streets of Toronto. This would back his claims that fans aren't going to see much else from the movie - and that's probably for the best, reports ComicBookMovie.

The ensemble cast of Warner Bros' supervillain team-up flick includes Jared Leto (Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, and Scott Eastwood.

Suicide Squad is slated to be released on 5 August, 2016.
