New York photographer Tricia Messeroux created a 'little' bit of Hollywood in her New York photo studio on 24 February, dressing child models as Oscars 2015 red carpet stars including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for a shoot.

Messeroux shrunk down some of the hottest looks from the Oscars 2015 red carpet into child sizes as part of a fun photoshoot for an ongoing project she calls 'Toddlewood'.

"We are recreating seven different looks from the red carpet that I felt were really interesting. Some that I thought could be kid appropriate ... and some of the ones that people were talking about. I'm really excited about it," said Messeroux, who also recreated stars' looks using child models after the Grammys, the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild awards.

Many of the five to seven-year-old models were not familiar with the stars they were portraying, but they did enjoy dressing up for the photoshoot.

"I like the make-up the most," said six-year-old Ivana Del Forno, who was dressed up as Scarlett Johansson.

"The red lipstick is so red," declared Gabrielle Rodriguez, who posed as Dakota Johnson.

As soon as the stars hit the red carpet Messeroux and her team, including designer Andrea Pitter, started setting up the shoot that took place within 24-36 hours.

"The turnaround is what's nerve-wracking. The other thing that kind of gives us a lot of anxiety, especially myself, is that ... everyone is waiting to see, 'what did she do next, what did her team do next. What does it look like, did they nail it? Did they get it right? Oh my God'. So it's all of that and I'm just like what did I start?"

Each child spends roughly ten minutes in a photoshoot with Messeroux, who coaches them into poses.

Messeroux works as a full-time photographer when award season is not in full swing but it's only since starting her Toddlewood project that she has enjoyed this level of recognition for her work.

Adele is another artist has been portrayed by a child model for Toddlewood.

"Adele Tweeted, 'Tricia this is wonderful'. I thought it was just like the coolest thing," said Kanye West smiled when he saw his on TV, he laughed and thought it was cool. I was like, 'oh my God we got a good smile out of the man'."
