Tottenham Hotspur are set to complete the signing of PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay after their £10m bid was accepted by the Eredivisie club.

According to the Express, apart from the £10m, Spurs will also send Belgian Nacer Chadli the other way in a player-plus-cash deal to land the youngster.

Mauricio Pochettino is in the process of overhauling his squad ahead of the new season, and the Argentine has targeted a place in the Champions League at the very least.

The former Southampton boss has signed three players thus far, with Ben Davies, Michel Vorm and Eric Dier arriving at White Hart Lane and is now turning his focus to the offensive side of the team. The north London club did struggle on the wings last season and Depay could be the answer to those problems.

Depay had an impressive year with PSV scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in the 32 league games he played. He further confounded his quality with some top-class performances for Netherlands in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 20-year-old winger was linked heavily with a move to Manchester United to be re-united with former boss Louis van Gaal, but it looks like Spurs have beaten the Premier League big guns to the young Dutch winger.

However, Chadli is claimed to be against being part of the deal and is keen to remain and fight for a place in the team at White Hart Lane. Pochettino is said to be unfazed by this as he is keen to land the PSV player either way.

With Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor being the only recognised forwards in the team, and the latter just returning from illness, it will be key for Pochettino to land the forward, to provide some much needed variety to the Spurs front-line.
