Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is "crazy" about signing Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne, according to Italian sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco.

The North London club continue to fight on two fronts, with both Premier League and Europa League glory in their sights. But already speculation is growing over who the club will look to sign for next season, having failed to add to their forward options during the January transfer window.

According to The Guardian, the club will complete their move for Saido Berahino at the fifth time of asking during the summer, with West Bromwich Albion ready to allow the player to leave The Hawthorns at the end of the season.

But according to Catania's former sporting director Lo Monaco, who reportedly still has close links to Napoli, Spurs are also very interested in bringing 24-year-old Italy international Insigne to White Hart Lane.

"Insigne is the complete package for a wide player," Lo Monaco told TV Luna, ESPN report. "I spoke to Tottenham. I know for certain that Pochettino is crazy about Insigne."

Tottenham are likely to face serious competition for Insigne should he choose to consider a move away from Napoli. Insigne's agent Antonio Ottaiano was quoted as saying in January that both Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are interested in the Italian, before adding his focus for the time being remains on helping Napoli in their Serie A title charge and securing a place in the Azzurri squad for Euro 2016.

"PSG and Arsenal are clubs at the top of the world and their interest is certainly gratifying, but right now Lorenzo is only thinking about Napoli," Ottaiano was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato Web.

"A great season is also key to reaching his other aim for this year: securing a place for the next European Championship with Italy."
