Overview

Tottenham come into this game after sealing a place in the next round of the Europa League on Thursday. The north London club registered a narrow 1-0 victory over Partizan at White Hart Lane.

They are unbeaten in the European competition this season, but are unable to replicate the same form in the domestic competition. In the last five matches played in all competitions, Tottenham have won four and lost one.

Mauricio Pochettino would be looking for their third consecutive win when Tottenham face Everton.

Meanwhile, Everton also come into this game after registering a 2-0 victory over Wolfsburg on Thursday. However, the Merseyside club's midweek fixture was away from home in Germany, while Tottenham took on Partizan at home.

Both teams had a short period for the preparation for the weekend clash, but Tottenham have an advantage as they were playing at home.

What Managers Say

Mauricio Pochettino: "The head coach is not the same as the manager. If not, why am I not called the manager? I am the head coach. In Southampton, I was a manager. My responsibility was not only to coach the team. Here I am a head coach - a head coach is head of your department. My department is to train the team."

Roberto Martinez: "I really admire this Spurs side. I think they have a real talented squad, they are fighting to get into the Champions League positions and I do think they are going to be a really dangerous side, as the new manager and the new players are getting used to the way they want to play."
