A new report states that the new autobots and decepticons set to feature in Transformers 5 include Ultra Magnus, Red Alert, Clyclonus and Scourge.

Previous rumours suggested that Unicron, Vector Prime, and Rodimus Prime are to join the Transformers 5 movie.

According to reports from Comic Central City, an alleged Transformers Facebook fan page, Ultra Magnus, Red Alert, and Override are the new autobots to join Optimus Prime, while Cyclonus, Scourge, and Blitzwing are Galvatron's new lieutenants in the new decepticon army.

The same report also suggests that the Quintessons, who created the Transformers race, will be the prime villains in the sequel. Quintessons were the ones that created Cybertron and toward the end of Age of Extinction Optimus Prime was headed to Cybertron to meet his creators.

As Optimus Prime will be off to meet his creator, these autobots are likely to hold the fort on earth and fight the decepticons.

Rumours are swirling that there might be a Beast Wars plot somewhere in the movie franchise and Comic Central City reports that the Beast Wars spin-off is being planned after Transformers 5.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Michael Bay explained the possibilities of the new Transformers trilogy.

"It's kind of like a new Transformers. We had three, the first trilogy, and this is going to be the next one... I'm not necessarily sure that I'm doing [the others], but that's what it's meant for."

Recently, it was confirmed that Michael Bay was officially moving on from the franchise.

Variety reported that the director has signed on to helm a Paramount movie based on the book, Thirteen Hours: A Firsthand Account Of What Really Happened In Benghazi by Mitchell Zuckoff.

Transformers 5 is scheduled to be released in 2016.
