X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos wants to quit the ITV talent show, her dad has claimed.

According to Plato Contostavlos, the Sight of You hitmaker, who joined the show in May 2011, "only does it for the money" and is eager to leave the show.

He told Now magazine: "Tulisa doesn't want to be there. She's bored with it. She doesn't need The X Factor, she's got N-Dubz," he said.

"I want her to leave X Factor. N-Dubz can do one gig and earn up to £500,000. I want her to make some serious dosh, millions, by doing an independent album with N-Dubz.

"What I want for her is security so she never has to rely on anybody apart from herself."

His claim followed reports that Sharon Osbourne and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown had been approached to replace Tulisa on the next series of The X Factor.

Despite taking Little Mix to history-making success in 2011, show bosses have apparently been unimpressed by the London-born star's lack of commitment to the show in 2012.

In November, producers reportedly gave her a stern warning about her chaotic love life and poor timekeeping following her foul-mouthed Twitter rant. In a string of expletive-laden messages she responded to "haters" who critised her new relationship with Newcastle Utd's Danny Simpson.

A show source told the Sun: "She needs to buck up her ideas and give her performance on the show more attention."
