A teenager who was frustrated at being rejected by girls went on a violent revenge spree and wrote notes to police while he did it.

Ben Moynihan, 18, stabbed three women in Portsmouth last year. He wrote of liking "the smell the flesh I ripped out" and of all women needing "to die," in notes in which he described himself as the "unhappy geezer."

Moynihan used a serrated blade to attack the women and aimed for their heart in all the incidents. All the victims survived. He also made a video in which he blamed women for his being a virgin.

At Wincester Crown Court, he was jailed for 21 years. His trial heard excerpts of disturbing notes and videos created by Moynihan.

"I think every girl is a type of slut, they are fussy with men nowadays, they do not give boys like us a chance," he fumed in one.

"I am still a virgin, everyone is losing it before me, that's why you are my chosen target."

When Hampshire Police made an arrest, he posted a note on a police van berating their efforts, writing: "You arrest someone who is 30, I'm only 17 for crying out loud." He also pleaded to be arrested and even included a photograph of himself to aid enquiries.

He added: "All women needs to die and hopefully next time I can gouge their eyeballs out."

One of his victims, a 67 year-old woman, said her life had been turned "upside-down" by the attack.

Sentencing Moynihan, Mr Justic Lay said: ""The offences were planned and premeditated. The contents of your computers were as chilling as they were disturbing."
