The upcoming episode of the Deadliest Catch season 12 titled First Timers will see Captain Sig Hansen of the F/V Northwestern, and Sagas' rookie Captain Jake Anderson compete to net more crabs in the wild Bering Sea. The two captains will be at loggerheads, as Jake has learnt that Sig had purposely followed his move after the rookie captain was tipped off on the best possible location to drop his pods.

In the previous season Sig mentored Jake, who still has a long way to go before he is able to call himself a true captain of the Bering Sea.

Warning: Potential spoilers ahead

According to TV.com, Jake will make a big mistake in episode 2, which could jeopardise his team. Well, all fans can hope for is that his mistake does not cost him the king crab bounty or his fragile relationship with his former mentor.

In one of the promo videos, Sig and Jake are seen arguing. At one point Sig is heard saying, "He [Jake] doesn't think he's acting like the responsible captain he makes himself out to be."

In another promo video the Northwestern captain says: "I've seen a lot of captains succeed, and fail." The promo then shows Jake, who is mocking the veteran captain via ship-to-shore radio. And Sig is not amused as Jake plays games with him and calls him a "little baby".

The report also said that the episode will see Sean Dwyer and his crew prepare for their first crab season on the Brenna A, while Wild Bill will deal with his deckhand. Keith would also get support from Johnathon Hillstrand.

Deadliest Catch season 12 episode 2 titled First Timers airs on 5 April at 9pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel. You can watch the episode live by click here (only in the US).
