As in the previous years, this time too, the White House Correspondents' Dinner was more about Hollywood star power than politics. While some of the entertainment world's most beautiful people attended the soiree, President Barack Obama managed to steal the show with a stand-up comedy routine during his speech which poked fun at Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders and the Republican Party... even referencing the Red Wedding from the Game Of Thrones.

The star-studded evening saw music, television and filmdom's most popular faces from Will Smith and Jada Pinket to Priyanka Chopra. It was a surprise to see Kendal Jenner at the gathering, not to mention DJ Khaled. From across the pond, Emma Watson, Hellen Mirren and Michelle Dockery were also in attendance. Carrie Fisher decided to bring her therapy dog Gary to the event and the little French bulldog quickly became a red carpet hit.

IBTimes UK takes a look at some of the best dressed at this year's "nerd prom".
