The pick of today's Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga football transfer rumours, news and gossip for 20 July 2011. All the latest transfer rumours surrounding Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma, Barcelona and Real Madrid will be covered here.

Premier League

All is not well at Manchester City where Roberto Mancini isn't particularly enarmoured by the prospect of Carlos Tevez's imminent return to Eastlands after his move to Corinthians collapsed. Indeed, Mancini is so angry he is prepared to "strip him" of the captaincy if he returns. Fortunately, Inter Milan are keen on Tevez and could bring the Argentina international to Italy as the first step in the player's Odyssean voyage back to South America. The Serie A "giants" are ready to offer dinky playmaker Wesley Sneijder in return, in a deal that will do wonders for Sir Alex Ferguson's blood pressure.

Talking of Spanish-speaking strikers, Liverpool have invited Mexican "wunderkind" Marco Bueno for a 10-day trial and are in negociations with Pachuca over a reported five-year deal for the 17-year-old. As will be the case with all diminutive Mexican forwards from now until the end of time, Bueno has already been tarnished with the "new Chicharito" tag in today's press.

The papers are awash with promising, South American talent this morning. Arsenal have "stepped up their interest" in Sao Paulo's 20-year-old defender Bruno Uvini but Manchester United have trumped the Gunners' bid for 19-year-old Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell. The striker was set to meet Arsenal officials yesterday but failed to show up after United showed an interest.

Staying in north London and in a report that contains absolutely no verifiable quotes of any kind, the reliable souls at footybunker.com suggest that Arsenal are in "advanced talks" with Bayern Munich for the transfer of French prowler Franck Ribery.

La Liga

Over in Spain, one of this summer's most reliable transfer sagas looks to be drawing to a close as Barcelona have reached an agreement for Chile winger Alexis Sanchez, according to the son of Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo. ''The agreement with Barcelona for Alexis Sanchez is complete", Gino Pozzo told Spanish radio station RAC1.

Meanwhile, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claims a "top European club" made a €45m offer for Javier Pastore on Monday. Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Malaga have all been linked with the playmaker but we'll also throw in Real Madrid as they're not linked with anyone else this morning, apart from Neymar.

Serie A

In Italy, journalist Alfredo Pedullà suggests AC Milan and Genoa are talking about a move for Sao Paulo attacking midfielder Lucas; and Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo wants to let everyone know he's "received an offer from Europe that will vastly improve my salary. We're finalising the details." And that's your lot for today.
