After Europe launch, three variants of Asus Zenfone 2 likely to be available in India on 13 April

The Asus Zenfone 2, which was officially launched at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 in Las Vegas, is now set to step foot outside of the US and Europe.

The next-gen Zenfone 2 is confirmed to be launched in India, in three variants, according to an NDTV Gadgets report that quotes Asus India.

However, exact details of the three Zenfone 2 variants are yet to be made public by the Taiwan-based company.

Asus recently unveiled the Zenfone 2 in three variants in Europe and the US. It is expected that the same variants will be taken beyond the UK and US shores.

The three Asus Zenfone 2 variants include the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML which is priced at €349 (£254, $376, INR 23,624), the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML priced at 16,869 rupees and the ZE500CL at 12,127 rupees.

Asus Zenfone 2 expected to be launched in India on 13 April

According to a SmartPrix blog post, Asus Zenfone 2 (the 4GB RAM handsets) will be launched in India on 13 April.

Asus Zenfone 2 ZE500CL available for purchase in the US:

Asus Zenfone 2 bearing model number ZE500CL is available on Amazon US for $219 (£147), which the e-tailer claims to ship free of cost. The factory unlocked edition listed on Amazon US is the 4G LTE single SIM variant that comes with no warranty.

Amazon is offering the Osmium Black outer colour scheme Asus Zenfone 2 variant to buyers.
