The Lollipop incremental update is still due for Samsung's former flagship phone, while avid Android fans will appreciate the standard Android 5.0 features ported into this OTA release that weighs a meagre 500MB in size.

Some of the noteworthy features introduced in this Lollipop OTA update include new Material Design UI, faster performance, lockscreen notifications, improved battery life, multi-user support, support for a bunch of new languages, and restored access to external storage for third-party apps.

It must be noted that the regular Galaxy S4 international model is also poised to get the Lollipop update sometime next year, and in the meantime, curious Android fans could check out an exclusive hands-on video from the folks at SamMobile posted here.
