Sony Xperia X Performance
The Xperia X Performance is the first Sony device to receive the Nougat update Sony

Sony has started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to users of the Xperia X Performance. It is the first handset among all Sony devices to get the latest update.

The two variants the update is available for include the F8131 and F8132 – in the US and international unlocked models. However, it is being rolled out in select regions. The firmware build number is 39.2.A.0.327 and it is an overt-the-air update.

Apart from the regular Nougat update including the multi-window feature, direct replies, quick settings, extended battery life and more, the latest update also brings along user interface changes for the Sony devices.

As per Sony's announcement, the Xperia Z5 series, Xperia Z3+, and Xperia Z4 Tablet will also be getting the update sometime in December. Other than these, the Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra are also slated to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update in early 2017.

If you have not received your Nougat update go to Settings > About Device > tap Software Updates and check for the latest version. If it still does not reflect you will have to wait until Sony makes the update available in your region.

"We've been working hard to bring this major update to as many of our devices as possible, as quickly as we can. We're really excited about the new Sony features & functionality and the improvements we've made to the user experience – and we'll be sharing more soon," Sony said earlier in a statement.
