Kick-off is set for 7:45pm GMT. Live coverage will be available on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 1 HD.

Overview

Arsenal have won two games on the trot for only the second time this season with wins over Borussia Dortmund and West Bromwich Albion but face a rejuvenated Southampton side who have made a brilliant start to the season and find themselves in the top four.

The Gunners have failed to find any sort of rhythm thus far and have crashed out of the race for the title, trailing leaders Chelsea by 13 points.

Their last game against West Brom at the Hawthorns ended in a 1-0 win for the Gunners through a towering header from Danny Welbeck.

This was after a commendable performance against Dortmund in the Champions League in midfield where they outclassed Jurgen Klopp's team to emerge 2-0 winners, with goals from Yaya Sanogo in the first minute and Alexis Sanchez.

Wenger started Sanchez, Welbeck and Giroud up top against West Brom with the Frenchman starting through the middle, playing the fulcrum around which the Gunners constructed their play. Arsenal currently have more than 10 players out through injury, the most in the division.

Southampton will be looking to put their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City behind them as they look to pull nine points clear of the Gunners as the race for fourth spot heats up.

The Saints have sustained a brilliant run of form thus far but need to prove themselves against the big boys if they have to uphold their claim of being a proper challenger to the top four throne.

What Manager Say

Arsene Wenger: "Southampton are stable at the back and new signings have integrated well. If Southampton can maintain run, they can challenge [for Champions League places]. We are very united [at the club]. Our job is to be competitive and to fight."

Ronald Koeman: "[The previous result] gives the confidence that we can beat them, but Arsenal in the last two games have had two good results. I think they are a little bit back with the spirit about these two results. It will be difficult, but you always get space against Arsenal. They like to play, they like to play offensive. Okay, I think it will be an open game and with our possibilities we believe we will have chances for a good result."
