Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s Son to be Named Samuel

Hollywood actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have announced that their son's name is Samuel.

"We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck," Ben posted on Facebook.

Young Samuel will have two elder sisters - Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3. The girls, it appears, had suggested funny names like "Donald Duck", "Mickey Mouse", "Peter Pan", "Captain Hook", "Smee" and so on for their baby brother's name.

Jennifer had earlier admitted it would be "cool and different" to have a son, while on the Elle DeGeneres Show.

She will, incidentally, also play a mother in her next film role - "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" - which will release on 15 August.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were married in 2005, after meeting on the sets of "Daredevil".
