Pop star Beyoncé Knowles gave a fabulous performance during the Super Bowl half-time show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, viewers noticed a sign she made while performing on stage, indicating she could she be part of a secret society - the Illuminati. The 34-minute power failure, delaying the biggest game of the year has also been associated with her.
Twitter went abuzz speculating if Knowles could be part of an occult secret society and put out these theories.

Knowles has been private about faith-based topics but spoke about her decision to stop physically attending church in 2008.
"I can't really go to church anymore which is a shame. People have come up to me in church during the sermon and, of course, people watch everything I do," Knowles said at the time, "They come up and take pictures on their mobile phones too. They are very nice, but I think God understands if I miss Sunday service!"
There was also speculation about Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who was born last year on 7 January, and whether she was related to Illuminati and Satanism. The name Blue Ivy was suggested to have originated from Eulb Yvi, which means Lucifer's daughter in Latin.
However, after the game, Entergy, the local power company, and SMG, the management company of the Mercedes Superdome, released a joint statement explaining the power outrage:
"Shortly after the beginning of the second half of the Super Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, a piece of equipment that is designed to monitor electrical load sensed an abnormality in the system. Once the issue was detected, the sensing equipment operated as designed and opened a breaker, causing power to be partially cut to the Superdome in order to isolate the issue. Backup generators kicked in immediately as designed. Entergy and SMG subsequently coordinated start up procedures, ensuring that full power was safely restored to the Superdome. The fault-sensing equipment activated where the Superdome equipment intersects with Entergy's feed into the facility. There were no additional issues detected."
