What's been touted as the biggest shopping weekend of the year is upon us, with millions of Brits searching for Christmas gifts from Black Friday (28 November) through to Cyber Monday (1 December). And this year experts suggest that as well as price, the speed and choice of how we get our orders will be a significant battleground for retailers.

Argos, the UK's largest online high street retailer, expects online traffic to peak on Cyber Monday with more than five million visits to its websites and apps on the day, more than half of which will come from customers using mobile devices, at a rate of around 3,000 visits per minute as customers increasingly want to shop while on-the-go.

According to the Adobe Digital Index, shoppers are expected to spend around £281 million this Cyber Monday, contributing to a 14 per cent growth of online Christmas sales year-on-year.
