The theme was bold!
Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater turned into an haute-couture runway on Sunday night (19 November) when big names of the music industry descended on the 2017 American Music Awards, dressed to the nines. There were edgy outfits, slinky gowns, see-through fashion and lots of skin; and we aren't complaining at all.
Oozing style and sex appeal, pop star Selena Gomez topped the list of stars, who turned heads at the 45th edition of the AMAs. Falling just behind her in the order were red carpet stunners like Ciara and Demi Lovato.
Here's a quick look at the drool-worthy outfits from the last of this year's awards night:
Taking her fashion game a few notches higher, Gomez arrived in an edgy, sexy leather-jacket-turned-dress on the AMAs red carpet. While her minidress from Coach offered a generous glimpse of skin, the 25-year-old sassed up her look with a blonde makeover and studded pointy-toe pumps.
Brownie points for her red pout and the sleek clutch.
Hello hotness! Dressed in just a leather bralette underneath her armour-shoulder jacket – paired with a black trouser - Hailee Steinfeld looked nothing less than a femme fatale. The red carpet diva that she is transforming into, the singer aptly complemented the look with smoky eyes and a slicked-back hair-do.
The Confident hitmaker rocked a strapless, sheer-like Ester Abner dress at the star-studded gala, proving her fashion mettle once again. While her gown oozed sexy splendour, Demi Lovato kept it chic with her Cher-inspired hairstyle and some diamond sparklers.
Giving Gomez company in the leather department, Ciara put her most stylish foot forward at the American Music Awards red carpet in a crocodile skin-style Alexandre Vauthier outfit. As if the thigh-high slit dress paired with knee-length boots weren't bold enough, the mother-of-two added to the oomph by rocking a wet hair look with minimal make up.
Looks like it's time to bid goodbye to the good old Betty Cooper! Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart – in a stark departure from her pastel-hued outfits and high pony tail – arrived at the AMAs in a form-fitting floor-length black gown by Cushnie et Ochs.
And needless to say the 21-year-old actress was stunning in her new avatar – featuring high slit and well-coiffed hair.
