Brazil's sex toy retailer Sexônico has started an auction for the virginity of its first life-like sex doll, Valentina.

"She has green eyes, fleshy lips, full breasts and a body that inspires envy in all women," Sexônico says on its website.

According to the retailer, the highest bidder will win a complete "romantic" package including a night stay with Valentina in the Presidential Suite at the Swing Motel in Sao Paulo, a candlelit dinner with French champagne, an aromatic bath with rose petals and a digital camera to capture the session and share it with friends.

If the bidder lives outside Sao Paulo, Sexônico will also provide roundtrip airfare.

The bidding ends on 31 March but the price, having started at $5000 (£3318.95) has already climbed to $105,100 (£69764).

Valentina was unveiled this week at the first International Exhibition of Inflatable Dolls, a four-day expo which began on 6 March in Brazil.

However, the doll has a long way to go to surpass the highest bid for a real virgin.

Catarina Migliorini, a 20-year-old Brazilian student, created headlines after selling her virginity in an online auction to a Japanese man named Natsu for £483,000 ($772,000) in October 2012. Migliorini's virginity received bids from 15 people, with Lucas Zaiden placing the starting bid of $1 on 7 October on the website Virgins Wanted.

The auction was organised by Jason Sisely, an Australian filmmaker, who started work on the Virgins Wanted project in 2009.

Following news of Migliorini's auction, another Brazilian, teenager Rebecca Bernardo, put her own virginity up for sale.
