Irish superstar Conor McGregor created history on Sunday (13 November) during the UFC 205 event at Madison Square Garden after beating American Eddie Alvarez to win the lightweight title belt. He became the first person in UFC history to hold two weight division belts at the same time.

The 28-year-old, who is arguably the biggest draw in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) at present, knocked Alvarez out in the second round in what was the most anticipated match of the event.

It is not often that one sees Alvarez getting dominated in a game but this exactly what happened on Sunday. McGregor did not give the American a chance to use his wrestling skills.

McGregor's win sent the Twitter world into frenzy. Here are some of the best tweets from Celebrities and MMA fighters.
