Manchester United suffered a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea during the Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The result has seen the English champions suffer yet another defeat in this calendar year as David Moyes' side have managed only one win in their last five games played in all competitions.

The results include a 2-1 to Swansea City in the FA Cup and also a similar result in the first leg of the semi-final clash of the Capital One Cup against Sunderland.

The victory over United saw Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho reach a record breaking 100 wins in the Premier League as the manager of the west London club, which also includes victories during his first spell at Stamford Bridge.

The result on Sunday has seen United sit seventh in the table with 37 points from 22 games, trailing fourth place Liverpool by six points. Meanwhile, Chelsea are third with 49 points, trailing league leaders Arsenal by two points.

United fans took on to social networking site to express their disappointment after the Old Trafford club failed to win over the Europe League winners, who were also joined by Twitter users in giving their verdict on the Red Devils' latest result.

I wish our players would show as much heart and spirit as our away fans, who deserve much better than this #mufc

Anyone who believes the narrative that Jose Mourinho only took the Chelsea job because Man United didn't want him is deluded. #CFC #MUFC
