Andre Schurrle helped Chelsea comeback twice in the game after being a goal down, but Oussama Assaidi's strike in the final minutes of the game saw the Blues suffer a defeat against Mark Hughes's side.

Meanwhile, Palace registered their fourth league win after their 2-0 win over Cardiff City in the last league tie. Cameron Jerome's first half header followed by and Marouane Chamakh's second half goal saw Tony Pulis's side register a comfortable victory at home.

Palace have lost only one and won three out of the last five games. The visitors are 19 in the table with 13 points from 15 games while Chelsea are third with 30 points, level on points with second place Liverpool.

What Managers Say

Jose Mourinho: "They've [Palace] been fantastic. Six points in two matches, they were bottom of the league and suddenly they are there, now they smell all the others and they are in contact with the other teams fighting relegation."

Tony Pulis: "On any given day, if Chelsea play to their maximum, they're a little bit ahead of us. The one thing everybody's really surprised about is that they haven't scored as many goals as maybe they should have. But they've played some fantastic football and they've got some top, top players."
