Eden Hazard is 'on the edge' of a Chelsea return ahead of their Premier League showdown with Manchester City with Gary Cahill and Nemanja Matic once again available for selection.

Hazard, 25, has missed the club's last four games, last featuring in the club's Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on 9 March as a result of a hip problem that has dogged his season.

The Belgium international has made steady progress this week in training, however, and manager Guus Hiddink says he is now on the brink of a return ahead of the visit of Manuel Pellegrini's side.

John Terry, who is still carrying an Achilles problem, and Loic Remy, hampered by a groin injury, remain unavailable, however.

"I think we had a good week, I am especially happy with the injured players who came in," Hiddink told a press conference. "Terry [will] not be in [the squad]. Hazard is on the edge but not yet. Remy is out, but the rest of the squad is complete."

There was better news regarding Matic and Cahill however. Both players missed the 1-0 defeat to Swansea City last Saturday, but both are available for selection ahead of the weekend.

Matic had been struggling with a calf problem while Cahill has missed the club's last three games with a hip issue.

Diego Costa is also once again available after serving his three-match suspension for his red card and improper conduct charge in the FA Cup defeat to Everton in March. The Spanish international missed the 2-2 draw with West Ham United, the 4-0 win over Aston Villa and last week's defeat at the Liberty Stadium as a result of his latest indiscretion.
