Well that is all we have time for on this live blog. We have live coverage of the final game of 2016 in the Premier League, as Man City go to Liverpool. You can follow that here, but until next time goodbye.

Quite an afternoon in the Premier League with goals galore. Here are some of the main headlines.

Chelsea go nine point clear at the Premier League summit after beating Stoke 4-2, a record-equalling 13th straight win in the top flight.

Manchester United left it late to beat Middlesbrough with goals from Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba cancelling out Grant Leadbitter's shock opener.

Leicester ended their title winning year with a win over West Ham via Islam Slimani's goal, while Bournemouth thumped Swansea who begun life without Bob Bradley.

Andre Gray's hat-trick helped overcome Sunderland as Burnley prevailed 4-1 and finally West Brom came from behind to beat Southampton.

Anthony Martial turns home the equaliser to break Middlesbrough's resolve.

GOAL! Swansea 0-3 Bournemouth (Josh King)

GOAL! Manchester United 2-1 Middlesbough (Paul Pogba)

Comeback complete in the grand manner in-front of the on-looking Sir Alex Ferguson. Pogba heads home Juan Mata's cross and that should secure the points again battered Middlesbrough.

GOAL! Manchester United 1-1 Middlesbrough (Anthony Martial)

GOAL! Chelsea 4-2 Stoke (Diego Costa)

A thirteen straight win secured as Costa holds off Martins Indi and thunders the ball into the top corner. The Spaniard marks his comeback with another league goal.

United throwing everything at Middlesbrough in search of an equaliser but Victor Valdes stands in their way again, saving from Anthony Martial from close range. The Frenchman remains down after a late lunge from Gibson.

GOAL! Burnley 4-1 Sunderland (Jermain Defoe)

Marcus Rashford on for Chris Smalling and Jose Mourinho roles the dice in search of an equaliser. Valdes kept out Ibrahimovic straight after the goal as Boro cling onto their lead.

GOAL! Burnley 4-0 Sunderland (Ashley Barnes)

GOAL! Manchester United 0-1 Middlesbrough (Grant Leadbitter)

Well, well, well. Middlesbrough go into a shock lead at Old Trafford. Calum Chambers' cross is nodded into Leadbitter's path by Negredo, and he brings the ball down and hammers home.

GOAL! Chelsea 3-2 Stoke (Willian)

Three goals in the space of five minutes as Chelsea re-take the lead. Willian fires in on the run at the back post to give the leaders for a third time.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-2 Stoke (Pete Crouch)

Remember the day. The Potters are not going away and as Diouf crosses, Crouch turns home his first goal for 18 months. Quite a goal.

GOAL!: Chelsea 2-1 Stoke (Willian)

Moses and Hazard combine to set up Willian, who lashes the ball home beyond Grant. The leaders back on course for a 13th straight win.

GOAL: Burnley 3-0 Sunderland (Andre Gray)

GOAL! Southampton 1-2 West Bromwich Albion (Hal Robson-Kanu)

GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Stoke (Bruno Martins Indi)

Now then. Stoke equalise within a minute of the restart. Charlie Adam's free-kick is headed across goal by Pete Crouch and Bruno Martins Indi is free to steer a volley into the corner. Game on.

Ready to get back underway in the second half in the 3pm kick-offs. The final 45 minutes of the season for many of these sides on the way.

That appears to be all he practices.

Half time in the six 3pm kick-offs. The main story is coming from Stamford Bridge where Chelsea are heading nine points clear and for their 13th straight win via Gary Cahill's goal against Stoke.

Jose Mourinho is fuming at Old Trafford where Manchester United should be leading Middlesbrough but Zlatan Ibrahimovic's effort was ruled out for dangerous play.

Burnley lead Sunderland via Andre Gray's goal, while Leicester are ahead of West Ham via Islam Slimani. Swansea are two down to Bournemouth, while Southampton and West Brom are level after Matt Phillips cancelled out Shane Long's opener.

Ball in the net at Old Trafford but it isn't going to count. Zlatan Ibrahimovic turns in Martial's cross but the referee has pulled it back for dangerous play by the Swede, after complaints from Victor Valdes. Looks like a ridiculous decision to me.

All this followed a stinging effort from Anthony Martial, who struck the post from fully 30 yards. United all over Middlesbrough,

GOAL! Chelsea 1-0 Stoke (Gary Cahill)

Lee Grant keeps out Chelsea again as he denies Hazard, but finally he is beaten from the corner. The delivery has too much pace for the Stoke keeper and Cahill thundes a near-post header into the corner.

GOAL! Burnley 1-0 Sunderland (Andre Gray)

Lee Grant has kept Stoke in the game in the first half with a succession of saves.

GOAL! Swansea 0-1 Bournemouth (Benik Afobe)

Charlie Adam pulls a free-kick back to Shaqiri, who is untracked but he blazes the ball over the bar. That might end up in the Thames, if it gets a tailwind.

Lee Grant makes an outstanding save to keep out Diego Costa, after having previously saved from Gary Cahill's header from a corner. Chances galore in the Premier League but just the one goal at the mid-way point in the first half.

GOAL! Leicester 1-0 West Ham (Islam Slimani)

Paul Pogba hits the post for United as Middlesbrough sit in. Boro happy to operate on the break and it almost pays off again but George Friend misses by inches. Decent open game.

Stoke have matched Chelsea up from the get-go, with Erik Pieters and Mame Biram Diouf being deployed at wing-back on either side.

First chance at Old Trafford ans it comes for Middlesbrough who should be ahead. Adama Traore races clear on the break but he gets a bit excited and lashes his shot wide. What a waste.

Underway in each of the six 3pm kick-offs including at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford where our focus will be. Updates and all the goals on the way.

Leicester look set to make the most stunning year in their existence with a flag display before kick-off.

Scorer of one of the goals of the year at Euro 2016, can Hal Robson-Kanu repeat those heroics against Southampton?

No injury for Michael Carrick, but he will miss Manchester United's last game of 2016. How crucial could that be?

Away from the top of the table, it is a big afternoon for those near the bottom. Swansea face Bournemouth in their first match since Bob Bradley was sacked, with Paul Clement heavily linked with taking over.

Elsewhere, Sunderland could leap out of the bottom three if they beat Burnley, while Leicester and Middlesbrough will also be eager to ensure they don't start 2017 staring a battle against relegation in the face.

Full time at Ibrox and Celtic have held on to win the first Old Firm derby at Rangers in five years. Scott Sinclair was the match-winner in a fabulous game which sees Brendan Rodgers' side go 19 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier League.

Meanwhile, at Old Trafford Manchester United are without Michael Carrick. Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly are restored to the centre of the defence, ahead of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.

Middlesbrough make five changes in all. Bernardo Espinosa, Grant Leadbitter, Adama Traore, Stewart Downing and George Friend all come in for Aitor Karanka's side.

Let's try and add some meat to the bones of the Premier League team news, starting at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea restore Diego Costa and N'Golo Kante to their first team after their respective suspensions.

Stoke make three changes including handing Ibrahim Afellay his first start since April. Charlie Adam and Xherdan Shaqiri are also back.

The New Year's Eve football has already begun north of the border with the first Old Firm derby at Ibrox for five years seeing Rangers and Celtic face-off in the lunchtime kick-off. A fascinating game as seen Celtic overcome conceding an early goal to lead 2-1 with 20 minutes remaining. I'll keep you updates as the second half progresses ith any further developments.

Manchester United vs Middlesbrough

Captain Wayne Rooney will again be missing for the hosts with a thigh problem, with Luke Shaw the only other absentee due to injury.

Middlesbrough are without Antonio Barragan due to suspension, while Viktor Fischer is out with a knee problem.

We're around 25 minutes away from the team news from our six 3pm kick-offs, but let's look at how the teams in our featured matches are expected to line up, starting with Chelsea vs Stoke.

Diego Costa and N'Golo Kante are both back for Chelsea after respective suspensions, but Pedro - a goalscorer against Bournemouth - is out after picking up his fifth booking of the season.

For Stoke, Phil Bardsley is back from an ankle injury but Marc Muniesa, Geoff Cameron and Jack Butland are all injured. Marko Arnautovic is suspended.

The festive schedule might be coming to an end but the fixtures are no less important as we reach the end of 2016. Chelsea will feel they will go into the new year with the Premier League title to lose if they can overcome Stoke today, a win which could take them nine points clear and equal the record for most consecutive victories in one season.

Elsewhere, Manchester United can underpin their improvement with a fifth straight league win against Middlesbrough. It's also a key day at the bottom, where Swansea play for the first time since Bob Bradley was sacked as manager when they host Bournemouth, while Sunderland travel to Burnley.

We'll have all the teams news and build-up to our penultimate live blog of 2016, which should help get in the party mood ahead of New Year's Eve.
