Chloe Moretz has joined the long list of famous women who are tired of being defined by the men they date. The 19-year-old, who is in a relationship with Brooklyn Beckham, revealed that despite dozens of film credits under her belt, speculation surrounding her personal life continues to fill gossip columns.
Speaking to Glamour magazine, she insisted that people need to realise that she is her own person. "Seriously, you don't know how often I'm just described as 'his girlfriend'," she said, " And you think, 'Well, I've also been acting for 13 years, but don't worry.'"
Moretz, who stars in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, has been dating the eldest son of football legend David Beckham and Spice girl-turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham on and off since 2014. They made their relationship public with an instagram post back in May.
The blonde beauty however admitted that the constant scrutiny was easier to deal with when the other person is also in the spotlight, because they can relate.
"One of the reasons why dating him is great is that we both get what it means to have our lives twisted and torn apart and faked," she explained.
Her comments come months after Amber Rose blasted GQ after the publication referred to her as "Kanye's infamous ex, Wiz Khalifa's baby mama" in a feature.
In October 2015, she vented her anger on social media by sharing a photo of the introduction on Instagram with the caption: "Really @gq??? I'm so much more then Kanye's Ex or Wiz's baby's mama. Damn, why the f**k did u guys reach out to me for this article and photoshoot? To dumb me down? I talked about feminism and my Slutwalk..."
